Success Through Helping Others

There are natural laws that are at play as we journey on the road to success and one of those natural laws is the law of causation. Simply put, the law of causation states that what goes around, comes around. When we go out and help others succeed, we in essence are building our way to success.
This is abundance thinking as opposed to scarcity thinking. Abundance thinking postulates that there are plenty of resources to go around for everyone to succeed. It is a shift in the way we think and perceive the world around us. When we have an abundance mindset, we see possibilities and options, not limitations and restrictions.
You may have heard that success is not a goal, but rather a journey. Well, we can achieve success through helping others to succeed. It is a natural law.
We have all heard stories of people who boasted that they built their company from the ground up, that they alone were responsible for its success. Common sense tells us that there was a team of people in their organization who may have shared the vision of the business leader and helped them to succeed. In reality, it was a team effort that lead to the success of the business.
Well, taking a page from that lesson, we will find that we succeed when we help those around us to succeed. These may be people in our support organization, people in our network, suppliers, vendors, customers, etc. This concept of helping the team to succeed is foundational in team sports, whether is is football, baseball, basketball, soccer, etc. And each of us has our own team that is supporting us to success.
So take time and nurture those relationships. People like to help those who help them succeed.

Thanks so much for this. I read a quote of Harold Klemp’s recently that talked of doing one thing well for love. I think my Send Out Cards business is it for me, I know how to be very creative in making others feel valued, I may not have experience making money in business, but after making enough people feel valued, some of them are bound to want to do the same for others
And helping is what I’m good at
